Lead Generation For Business Owners

A lot has been said about lead generation, all the tips and the tricks. One fundamental rule that is often overlooked though is to generate leads, not lists. The leads you find and use must be quality potential clients. Often small businesses try to avoid the hard work of finding new leads by purchasing sales lists. Or rather than following up on customers that would benefit from a product or service, they contact every name in their black book. This is a good way to waste money, time and energy.

Lead generation is more than just a sales tool. It’s an opportunity to build a better relationship with a client or potential client. It’s your chance as a small business to gain a quality customer rather than a one-time shopper. It all starts with the lead. Find leads from people that have once shown interest in your brand. Whether they have submitted questions through your website, called on a price check or filled out a comment card, if they have spent even a few seconds looking at your company, that’s still more than the average name that will show up on a sales list.

Two industries come to mind when comparing lead generation to lead lists: insurance and banking. Both are made up of dozens of options for customers with very similar products. It is very easy for an Insurance company to buy a list of phone numbers and begin selling car insurance. Virtually everyone over the age of 18 will need car insurance at some point in their life. In fact, a large majority of people on the lists likely already have a policy. So an Insurance company calls and offers lower rates. Seems like the list worked just fine instead of putting forth time to reach out to brand loyal patrons. What about in banking? Same thing can be said about a credit card. Everyone has one, has had one or needs one. Personal bankers spend hours calling on leads just like the insurance agents.

What if instead of a list, they generated leads? What if they called on customers that showed an interest in the credit card at the teller line? Or put in inquiries through their website? Calling on 100 people that have possibly never heard of your company will typically lead to less than 10 sales. Calling on 10 people that already know of your brand, use your brand for other products and services or were referred to your brand from a personal reference will potentially lead to 10 sales. Which odds sound better? In the long run, its best to create your own lead generation system and sales funnel. Use this sales funnel to pre qualify you leads and find laser targeted clients. Make sure to always split test split test your marketing efforts to find the best converting lead generation system. Google Brand Pages and Google+ Changes

Google announced in September that they’ll be starting to roll out Search Plus your World, it became more evident that search is shifting towards a simpler way of retrieving data for their users by merging personalized search and social search on their result pages for logged-in users (including relevant Google+ pages).
This move from Google is definitely going to make massive changes on how businesses should market themselves, as this is certain to affect traditional online marketing methods..
There are billions of searches happening everyday (worldwide), and with the recent report from ComScore, stating that Google+ has already reached 67 million users since last November (and is expected to grow more in the coming months), they can easily develop this as a culture to searchers/users, in which the only thing that seasoned marketers can do is to adapt.
Google+ is Google 2.0, and in Rand’s recent whiteboard moz video on why a Google+ strategy is vital to marketers and businesses, you’ll see how they are really pushing Google+ on their search results.

Why is building your brand’s presence on Google+ necessary:
  • Google+ is already taking over search results, if you’re an authoritative figure in this social platform, then it’s easier to yield traffic and leads to your site/business, as your Google+ presence will improve your search visibility.
  • Google will eventually pull social and brand data from this channel to determine highly authoritative figures/content in any industry (AuthorRank).
Goals and objectives in building your Google+ Authority:
  • Increase the number of people that have you in their circles.
  • Increase the number of re-shares and +1’s of your Google+ content (content you share).
  • Increase the number of mentions of your Profile/Page in Google+.
  • Increase external activity, which can be measured through the amount of +1’s of your site’s content.
Google Authorship
Optimizing your content by including the rel=”author” tag and reciprocating it with your Google+ profile has been one of the most efficient ways in increasing your posts/pages’ SERP click-through rate, as it’s perceived as a more trustworthy and credible content when displayed on search results.

Google+ Button
Of course, allowing your site visitors to +1 your content is also one of your Google+ strategy’s foundations, as Google uses these sharing/voting data to analyze the strength as well as the popularity of your website and its content.
The placements of your Google+ 1 button is very important, as making it more visible increases the chances of your button being clicked by your readers. You can place it above the fold or at the end of each of your site’s content to draw actions from your visitors.

Optimize Google+ Page/Profile
This is basic, where most of the task will only require you to complete your Google+ profile, and to allow your page as well as your posts to be publicly visible to logged off users and in search results. Your page/profile’s tagline and introduction are its meta description, so optimizing it by including your targeted keyword(s) may also enhance CTR and attract people to adding you.

Promote your Google+ page on your other social platforms
Perhaps the easiest way to attract people to add you in their circles is to first start with the social networking sites that you already have a following base (Twitter and Facebook). Promote the link to your Google+ profile/page through these networks, and that’s probably it.

Promote Google+ page via Content Marketing
Include a link to your Google+ page whenever you distribute content externally (guest blogs, slide presentations and videos), especially on your author profile. This method has proven to have high success rate, particularly if you’re providing high-utility content on websites where your target audience are highly engaged. Use the link to your Google+ page/profile as your external as well as your site’s socially engaging content’s call to action, to attract more of your audience into adding you to their circles.

Linking to your Google+ page from your Blog comments
Comment marketing is an effective way of reaching out and building relationships with your link prospects (and even in targeting their readers/followers), as by simply contributing to the discussion you’ll be able to be recognized in your industry as an active contributor.
Linking to your Google+ page instead of your site’s homepage can help establish a stronger foothold when aiming to build relationships, as it puts more emphasis on building a connection rather than just building a link.
Leading blog owners and their readers to your Google+ profile, very possible if they’re finding your comments really useful, are more perceptible to taking actions (adding you to their circles). And using this method also sends positive signals to Google, as you are building relevant links to your profile.

Build Conversations
Reach out to people that have you in their circles or people within your circle by communicating to them. You can start off by commenting on the things they share on Google+ or by responding to people who comment on your posts. It will eventually give you more exposure when people in their circles start noticing your conversations with them.
Engage the right people in targeted discussions and you’ll certainly do fine.

Share useful Content to your Circles
The more you are sharing valuable content on Google+, the more chances of getting your posts re-shared and/or +1ed by the people in your circles. This builds up your authority and popularity as a user, as people are finding you as a great resource of content in your industry.
Personalizing your posts, by including your own opinions about the content you are sharing, can entice commenters, which again can improve the social data that Google will be collecting from your account.

Tagging People in your Circles when promoting your own Content
You can specifically do this when you have cited or linked out to their works from your content. It’s one of the best ways to get into their radar, and hopefully to have your content shared by them.

Increase activity on your Google+ page
There are a lot of events that you can do to make your Google+ page more active such as:
  • Launching live Q&A sessions, where you can invite people to ask industry related questions and have them answered by you or an invited guest (this is being done on Facebook fanpages and Twitter to increase the number of likes/followers).
  • Using Google+ brand pages as a platform for CRM, wherein you can accommodate and/or address consumer-related discussions.
  • Organizing contests, which is quite a common approach on other social media platforms to increase the number of followers and to build brand awareness.
Takeaways
Google+ may pollute search results, by serving bias content (seeing as results would be based from personal and social activity). Finding more useful and spot on content/information could be disrupted by this move from Google.
On the other hand, marketers might find it harder to shift their strategies to getting more social, especially to those who have been accustomed to backend marketing, but in the end, all that we can really do is to adapt to these changes.

Keep on building great content, because when you keep on producing useful content, people will always know how, where and why they need to find you.

Top Facebook Graph Strategies Revealed

As a brand, there is great value with every like, comment and share of a post. With the changes to Facebook timeline, each of these interactions allow your social influence to grow by giving your brand the opportunity to engage and connect with new fans. Facebook’s most recent update of Graph Search further increase the effectiveness brands can achieve through Facebook.

Avid users of Facebook are getting more and more familiar with Facebook Graph Search that is being rolled out. As with normal SEO, taking the time to ensure your page shows up within relevant results of Facebook Graph Search is more than worth the time. Optimizing your page actually isn't a difficult task to accomplish either. So how do you go about getting high Graph Search rankings to drive traffic to your page?

Well as you may have expected, high-quality content, increasing your likes and increasing engagement (with items such as good videos or pictures that make people want to comment) will always help. As with SEO, the proof is in the details when it comes to Facebook Graph Search Optimization. So take a look at a few things that can be done to increase your rankings.

1. CHECK YOUR BUSINESS ADDRESS

Graph search results are often heavily based on location. If you don’t enter your address on your page, you will not appear for location-based searches.

2. GET MORE LIKES

Run contest and promotions that help encourage more people to Like and follow your company’s Facebook page. Comparable to link building within SEO, businesses with lots of followers tend to get better Graph Search rankings.

3. CHOOSE THE CORRECT CATEGORY

You may have already noticed that Facebook allows you to place your page within specific categories. People then find your company within the Graph Search based on the category that you have selected for you page. It is imperative that you choose the category that is the best match for your business.

4. ENCOURAGE CHECK-INS

Check-ins allow your customers to share their current location on Facebook through their smartphones. With some creativity and ingenuity, companies with brick and mortar locations can really take advantage of this feature with their consumer base. Getting lots of people to check in to your business will also help improve Graph Search rankings.

5. POST & TAG YOUR VIDEOS AND PHOTOS

Facebook Graph Search makes it extremely easy for anyone to search for photos and videos. Posting photos and videos and tagging your business can improve Graph Search rankings.

6. INCLUDE KEYWORDS

Your “about” section on your Facebook page should be treated just like a meta description on your webpage. Look to include your keywords most relevant to your product or service in this section. You can also put keywords within status updates and take advantage of Facebook’s new #hashtag system to boost Graph Search visibility as well.

7. FINISH WHAT YOU START

Fill out everything within your profile. At the very least you should look to complete all fields in the About section of your company’s page. Not only does this help Graph Search rankings but it also makes it easier for people to know who your business is, what you provide, and how it can help them.

8. CUSTOMIZE YOUR URL

www.facebook.com/MyCompanyName
Having a unique URL that has your company name within it helps rankings for both Google Search results, and Facebook Graph Search results. The part that say “MyCompanyName” is called your username within Facebook.
These eight steps are very practical yet make a big difference within Facebook Graph Search and are often overlooked. Graph Search Optimization on Facebook can be fun as you can apply your creativity to build your audience. Advertising within Facebook can provide a boost as well, but that goes a bit beyond the scope of this article. If you aren’t familiar with Facebook you can always seek professional assistance.

Best Mobile Application Creation Tool

Mobile Money Code is an app which you can run on your computer or your smartphone.
To cut a long story short, only the people at Greg Anderson’s company know exactly what Mobile Money Code does and how it works.

From a user’s perspective, our interaction with the software is very, very basic. It takes about 2 minutes to setup a campaign using the Mobile Money Code app, and it requires just a few clicks.

You don’t really get ‘involved’ with how it works, and it’s obvious to me that Gregory Anderson doesn’t want us to know how it works.

His reasons are understandable: if the mechanism behind Mobile Money Code became known to anyone outside his company then other companies would make their own versions of the software, then suddenly everyone would be using the same method to make money, and the whole system would become useless and worthless.

The fact is Greg is only going to be allowing a small number of people to use Mobile Money Code, and since no-one will be told how it works there is no risk that the method will become useless.

I am very curious as to exactly how many people Greg will be letting into this program, and how long he would be leaving registration open for. So I wrote to him via my Mobile Money Code membership and asked him.

He wasn’t willing to share this info, but he did assure me he wouldn’t let so many people in as to make the system ineffective. He stressed it was his primary source of income, so it was in his own best interests to be extremely careful about preserving the effectiveness of the system.

He also said he’ll be closing registration down soon enough, and it will be at any time and without prior warning.

Therefore I strongly recommend that you get Mobile Money Code right now instead of risking being left out. I wouldn’t delay this, you’ll regret it if you do. If you click this link and it’s still open, consider it your lucky day

America's Got Talent 8 - Tone the Chiefrocca - Booty

I love Entrepreneurs !!! I also seldom watch reality TV but last night, I caught the end of America's Got Talent 8 and saw Howard Stern on the show. They were announcing the final act, a rapper that just wanted to be a one hit wonder. He ended up rocking this song Booty. Not only did he get the crowd involved but also the hosts.

The bottom line here, is even though he did get a shot on national TV, this guy can go a long way using Social Media including YouTube, Twitter and Facebook. Not sure if this will be the next Gangnam Style video but I love this story. Here is the video in case you missed it.

Finding An Internet Marketing Consultant In San Diego

If you’re looking for an Internet Marketing Consultant in San Diego to help your business grow then this blog may help you.

There are many good Internet Marketing Consultants in San Diego, but finding the right one for your business can be challenging. I can’t stress the importance of building a relationship with your consultant, so the 1st question to ask yourself is “Do I like this person?”

Here are some ideas to consider when choosing a consultant to get real results for your business:
  • Knowledgeable in SEO (search engine optimization), SEM (search engine marketing), blogs, and business analytics.
These are basic tools that they should have in their arsenal at minimum.
  • Strong understanding of search engine-friendly web design, ability to make critical improvements and technical recommendations.
This allows customers to come to you instead of you chasing them. Imagine having a 24 hr salesperson that generates leads and never call in sick!
  • Experience.
Pay attention to the questions they ask in the consultation. They should be detailed and specific to your business. The questions should make you realize the areas where your business needs help. Also, check out their LinkedIn Profile for recommendations of their work.
  • A system in place to track results.
They should have a way to track your website traffic, direct mail, TV, print advertising and any other marketing campaigns you are running.
  • Desire and ability to explain, and build a relationship with you.
Hiring a consultant to grow your business is like adding another person to your team. They should genuinely be interested in getting you results and learning about your business.
  • Determine your USP (unique selling proposition).
Helping you brand your company image and finding your USP is important factor for dominating your competition. If they do not discuss this strategy, RUN.

  • Excellent organizational and management skills.
It’s not realistic to expect the consultant to only work with your company. Ask how they manage multiple clients. Do they have a system in place that allows them to manage multiple clients’ projects simultaneously?
  • How will they keep in touch.
This is important and you need to determine this upfront. Will you get a monthly phone call, or will they communicate via email? I can’t tell you how many clients I’ve met complain about this simple issue. Imagine wanted to be updated via phone, but your consultant’s main source of correspondence is through email.
Finding the right company to grow your business is possible if you take the time and ask these simple questions.

Are you tired of wasting money on advertising that doesn’t work? Get a Quote now for more tips and information that will save you money when choosing a Internet Marketing Consultant in San Diego.
